John Mpamei is a recording artist, singer-songwriter, and musician. Born and raised in the violence-torn landscape of Manipur but political crises and social issues in Manipur could not stop him from achieving his dreams. John Mpamei has released more than five official Music Videos on National and International Radio and TV channels including Vh1, MTV, 9XO, etc. John Mpamei had performed in India, Nepal, Doha Qatar, UAE, Maldives & many more. He released his two albums’ Far Away’ in the year 2014 & ”Illuminate “in 2018, he is recently working on his new EP ”Dream’’.
John Mpamei & the band were among the Top 26 Bands in India listed by Sennheiser in the year 2017. John Mpamei was awarded the Rongmei Achievement Award by RPD & RCPD on October 27th, 2018 for his dedication and accomplishments in the field of art and music.
His song “Telegraph” from the album, illuminate, was nominated for the best song by the Radio city freedom awards in the year 2018.
His latest song, “Waiting for so long” proved to be a massive hit which is followed by another latest release “Fly Away”, this song has reached many hearts.
